Disc Ninja oculus quest

Disc Ninja from Immersion Games is a simple, yet very fun concept.

It's frisbee Golf! (set in a fantasy ancient Japan).

The goal is to toss the Ninja Disc (Frisbee) along the fairway to hit the dragon in at the end, in as few throws as possible. Effectively scoring under, over or on par.

This is the chilled out classic mode, take your time, drink in the scenery and plan your throws and angles meticulously to maximize your overall score along each fairway.

However a new "Rush Mode" has just been added in a free update that changes things up.

Rather than minimizing the number of throws, this mode is all about minimizing the time taken to reach the dragon goal. While quite a nice change in itself, this mode becomes fantastic fun in Disc Ninja's online mode with friends or in a tournament.

Multiplayer is just as simple as the concept. You can invite friends to join you via a game code, or join some randoms in a tournament.

You could also opt to host a tournament and adjust the parameters to your liking. These include chosing which mode to play and turning throw assist on or off.

For my money, the most fun to be had is in a Rush tournament with throw assist off. Just make sure you have plenty of room in your play area and your controllers are family strapped to your wrists! (However Disc Ninja does now support seated play.)

Disc Ninja is well presented and tutorials get you into the action quickly. Graphics are bold, colourful and good looking, yet basic enough to keep the game flowing smoothly enough on the oculus quest 2.

Overall a really enjoyable game; whether you want to kick back and play a few holes (dragon statues) by yourself, or enjoy some frantic party fun.

Disc ninja is available now priced $19.99 via the Oculus store
