Exoprimal is a new co-op action game from Capcom that pits players in futuristic exosuits against hordes of dinosaurs.
The game was released today (July 14, 2023) for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. It supports cross-platform matchmaking, (but not cross-platform party chat).
Dino Escape
In this mode, a team of five players must work together to escape from a dinosaur-infested area.
The team must collect resources, activate terminals, and reach the extraction point before time runs out. Each run is randomly generated and therefore noticeably different.
The team can also encounter special events and boss battles along the way.
Exosuits
The game has several exosuits to choose from.
Each exosuit has its own abilities, weapons, and playstyle.
Deadeye is a ranged DPS suit that can snipe enemies from afar. Zephyr is a melee DPS suit that can slash enemies with blades. Roadblock is a tank suit that can draw enemy attention and use a shield to protect allies.
Witchdoctor is a support suit that can heal allies and stun enemies.
Zephyr is a fast, melee exosuit that can slice enemies with blades or halos.
Roadblock is a tanky, defensive exosuit that can block attacks with a shield or a blade. Both have variants that change their weapons and abilities.

Colorful, nicely detailed, and runs smoothly Satisfying combat killing dinosaurs

Heavy online focus permanent internet connection required.
PvP aspect is imbalanced and frustrating. Story is weak and characters are shallow.
The game's modes can feel repetitive.
Exoprimal is a game that will appeal to fans of co-op shooters (and dinosaur/mech stans). It offers some genuinely fun action-packed moments. However, it also suffers from some flaws that undermine its potential. While not a groundbreaking or spectacular game, it's good fun and even better with friends.
