There was no new of a Mario Kart 9 in the latest Nintendo Direct. Instead a paid DLC pack of 48 new tracks was announced, the first wave of which drops March 18th.
The full expansion will be available to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers at no cost, as a free DLC.
